Don’t wait until June to start looking for a summer job! The Bensenville Park District is currently taking applications and hiring staff for the upcoming 2010 Water Park season. Water Park employment is a great opportunity to do fulfilling work in a safe, fun, professional atmosphere and offers competitive wages. The following positions are currently available: lifeguards, pool attendants, cashiers, concession stand employees, swim lessons instructors, and pool managers. All applicants must be 16 years of age by May 28, 2010. One exception is that 15-year-olds may apply only for lifeguard positions, hired only on a very selective basis. Returning employees must re-apply to be considered for employment in 2010.

Applicants must be able to begin job training in May and work through the middle of August. There are a limited number of positions, so apply early while spots are still available. A major factor in 2010 Water Park hiring will be applicants’ possessing a CPR/AED certification, which is offered at a low price through the Bensenville Park District (see page 46). Lifeguards must possess a valid Ellis International Lifeguard Training Program (ILTP) certification or attend a certification offered by the Bensenville Park District, dates tentatively being May 17-21, 2010.
