The Bensenville Park District is creating a new Strategic Plan and we need your help!
The Bensenville Park District Strategic Master Plan will be a blueprint for parks, open space, and recreation within the District, aiming to provide opportunities to enjoy the outdoor and encourage a more active, healthy lifestyle.

Mohawk School Site Acquisition Grant Request Information
Project Description/Goal: Acquire the Mohawk School site, 917 Hillside Drive, approximately 5.66 acres
- Increase the outdoor recreation opportunities available to an underserved minority and less affluent population through an adaptive reuse of the site.
- Adapt and convert a community resource from one primary use (education) to an alternate primary use (park, outdoor recreation and open space), with a possible secondary use for storm water management.
- Establish an intergovernmental cooperative that can make the project affordable and fair in the transfer of property and future uses between those entities with a common interest in the property.
