Weekday & Saturday Sessions
The Bensenville Park District’s Swim Lessons Program emphasizes improving swimming ability, increasing confidence and water safety under the instruction of competent, experienced teachers. Participants will be tested on the first day of class to ensure they are placed in the right level. To move to the next level, the skills for the current level must be performed correctly and consistently. If you are unsure of what level to place your child in, please look at the description of levels to assist you.
Private Swim Lessons
Private lessons offer exclusive one-on-one instruction tailored to the student’s needs. Private lessons are offered at scheduled times in the morning, evening, or Saturdays. If these days and times don’t work, there are also unscheduled private lessons, where you may schedule the private lessons at a time convenient for you, including weekends!

General Policies
All lessons will be held rain or shine so plan on attending every day. If there is weather which prohibits swimming, lessons will be held at the Deer Grove Leisure Center where instructors will play organized games and go over water park rules and safety. Call 630-766-SWIM (7946), for updates and/or cancellations.
During evening lessons, the Water Park is open to the public and sections of the Water Park will be reserved for lessons. Parents, siblings or other visitors wishing to swim or use the Splash Pad during their child’s lesson must show their pass or pay admission at cashier. During swim lessons, students under 48 inches tall may be allowed to go down the yellow slide with the supervision of their instructors to build confidence. However, if they do not meet the 48-inch height requirement, they would not be able to use the slides at any other time.
Per state law, non-potty trained children must wear swim diapers with rubber pants under a lined swimsuit. Swim diapers and rubber pants can be purchased at the cashier during open swim. It is up to the parents and participants to adhere to the Bensenville Water Park Swim Lesson Policies which are reviewed on the first day of class.
