Fischer Farm is one of the oldest remaining homesteads in the county and was established around 1838. Through the years, the Fischers built barns and a large farm house in 1920. Visitors can come and enjoy the many artifacts and unchanged landscape that settlers looked upon when they arrived in the area. Programs and events at the farm promote the awareness of the historical and ecological significance of the site.

Discovery Camp | Ages 6-10
Campers connect with the farm animals and the outdoors every day! Making discoveries to see what the past was like through games and hands-on activities are just part of our fun-filled day. A hike through Fischer Woods and a chance to care for the chicken and sheep at Fischer Farm provide great opportunities to discover even more about the nature that surrounds all of us. Field trip visits to exciting places, including some splash time at the Bensenville Water Park & Splash Pad, are set to round out our camp. Drop off and pick up your camper at Fischer Farm. Campers may be enrolled in the Park District’s Before and/or After Camp Care Program where transportation is provided to and/or from the Deer Grove Leisure Center for supervision and more fun.
