Fun Children’s Classes!
Bensenville Park District offers a variety of classes for children each season. Most classes are held at Deer Grove Leisure Center. Below is just a sampling of the classes we offer, so make sure you refer to the Bensenville Park District Program Guides for a complete listing of classes that are offered during your desired time.
Pee Wee Gym
Pee Wee Gym is a fun, “open gym style” class where kids are introduced to a variety of activities like soccer, basketball, balloon volleyball, parachutes, scooters, and dance! Parents take an active role in helping their children acquire the skills to participate in all activities. Please dress in comfortable clothing and get ready to have fun!

Little ones can play, socialize, and practice their large motor skills in an open play, gym-like format. We will have lots of new toys to climb on and explore, like tunnels, foam climbing blocks and more! This is a pay as you go, drop-in activity which means you are not required to play every day. Children ages one year and younger are welcome at no charge! On occasion this program may be closed due to Park District holidays and or/unforeseen circumstances. Please call ahead to confirm. Parent/caregiver must accompany child(ren). Update! Wiggle Time, May 1-26, class times on Tuesdays and Thursdays are 9-11am, Saturday classes remain 11:30am-1:30pm.

Ages 24-35 months
This camp offers a caring and gentle introduction to the camp experience where each week is centered around an exciting theme. Our smallest campers enjoy nature exploration, vegetable gardening in our raised garden beds, water play and on hot days, a visit to our safe Slash Pad. The children will also play games, sing, dance, get messy with sensory craft projects, enjoy story time, and a healthy snack. Children will also enjoy plenty of indoor play inside the cool Deer Grove Leisure Center. Counselor to camper ratio is 1:6. Each camper receives one camp shirt on the first day of camp. There are no camps July 3 and 5.

Tailored to the increasingly independent and adventurous Preschooler, Sunshine Camp offers fun camp experiences. Campers enjoy nature exploration, vegetable gardening in our raised garden beds, daily visits to the Splash Pad, guest speakers, sports, camp songs, and plenty of time to climb on our playground equipment. Camp fosters growth, independence and developing friendships. Each week is centered on an exciting theme. Children will also enjoy play inside the cool Deer Grove Leisure Center. Counselor to camper ratio is 1:6. Campers receive one camp shirt on the first day of camp. There are no camps July 2-6. Before Camp care is available for Sunshine Campers.

Tiny Tot T-Ball
Children will learn the basics of baseball including catching, hitting, throwing, and running the bases. These fundamentals will be the focus of this program. Instruction will be given through fun drills and simulated game play. Each participant should bring their own glove to class each week. There will be no class May 28.

Half Pint Hoops
In this fun focused basketball program children will learn the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting and team play. We will shoot on lowered basketball rims which are perfect for our Half Pint players! This is a great instructional class for the first time player. Make sure to wear gym shoes to each class.

Recreational Soccer Free T-shirt!
Our mission is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on travel or high-level competition. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport, and develop life skills including a lifelong love of the game. A free soccer t-shirt will be given to each participant. Training days are Monday and Wednesday with game days on Saturday afternoons, 2-6pm. Class will not be held on July 4.

Kids Karate Club
This exciting program is designed specifically for children ages 4-14. This class teaches martial arts, public safety, awareness and respect. It also builds self-esteem and confidence with a strong emphasis on family involvement. Most of all, it is safe and fun. Testing, and belt advancement and tournaments are optional and available at an additional fee. Uniforms are required. Uniform fees are $38 and they will be available for purchase at the first class. Class will not be held on July 5.
