The winter spring session is dedicated to rehearsing for our annual spring Dance Recital where Students showcase their best Hip-Hop, Ballet, Tap, Cheer/Tumbling, Polish, and Mexican Folkloric moves! Families, friends and neighbors are invited to show support and spend the afternoon
applauding the young performers!
Ticket Sales: Begin March 12 at the Deer Grove Leisure Center. Tickets are issued on a first- come first-serve basis. Students will receive one free ticket regardless of how many classes they are in. Free tickets will be distributed to the performers with recital packets the week of March 19th.
Ticket Price: Ages 3 and up $6 in advance, $8 at the door. Ages 2 and under are free. Children 2 and under must sit on an adults lap. On stage Dress Rehearsal and group photographs are set for Sunday, April 22. Dance Level Information
In order to help you choose the best class for your child, the School of Dance and Movement offers different levels for some classes. Expect to see more levels as we grow and expand our classes!
Pre-Classes Very basic introduction to dance. Ages range from 4-7 years.
Level I Classes Offer an introduction to a given style or styles of dance technique, class etiquette, and basic choreography. Ages vary. No previous dance experience required.
Level II Classes These classes offer an intermediate approach to technique, class etiquette and choreography. A slightly faster pace teaching style allows students to grow as a dancers and focus on technique, flexibility, strength, and style. Dancers retain and perform skills and routines, and will be encouraged to express themselves through performance. Approximate ages: 7-14 years. No previous dance experience required but recommended.
Level III Classes Students will be held more accountable to retain and perform skills and routines and will be encouraged to express themselves individually through performance. Approximate ages 8-15 years or with instructor approval. Previous dance experience is preferred.
Jazz pants, stretchy clothing, dance shorts, t-shirt, and gym shoes

This is a basic tumbling class that is specifically designed for preschoolers and will teach body awareness and coordination. Students will learn tumbling moves and rhythmic aspects of gymnastics. Older students advance to gymnastics where classes are designed to focus on balance, coordination, and basic tumbling moves such as somersaults, cartwheels, and walkovers. Class will not be held on July 3.

All Star Cheer Dance/Tumbling
This entry level class is an introduction to cheer, dance and tumbling! Cheerleaders will learn dance moves and a dance routine in the first portion of the class followed by introduction to basic cheer tumbling moves, such as forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, round-offs, front and back walk-overs and the splits. Class will not be held July 4.
