We make fitness fun!
The Bensenville Park District is committed to bring attention to the benefits of exercise and leading a healthy lifestyle for kids and families. Utilizing the Park District’s recreation and fitness programs is a great way to improve our children’s overall health and prevent our kids from being unfit.
The Bensenville Park District has fitness classes, programs, and events that help make being active a fun priority for your whole family. Swimming at the Water Park, golfing at White Pines Golf Club, and running or walking in the 5K Run/Walk can provide great exercise, and be a lot of fun too!
In addition to traditional athletic programs like soccer, football, and basketball, the Park District offers fitness classes like Zumba for Kids. The Adventure, Sports, Discovery, and Teen Summer Camps are also designed to offer fun activities that encourage the kids to keep their bodies moving.
Each season, the Bensenville Park District offers a variety of programs and classes to keep children active. These offerings are facilitated by trained professionals and are specially designed and geared to specific age groups, from tots to teens.
Especially for teens: The fitness center is available for ages 14 and up and offers special discounted rates for ages 14 to 17. Additionally, most adult group fitness classes are open to ages 14 and up.
Make sure you refer to the Bensenville Park District Program Guides each season for a complete listing of classes and programs that are offered. Class and program information is available in the seasonal program guides online at bensenvilleparkdistrict.org, or feel free to call 630-766-7015 for information.
The Park District supports B-Well Bensenville. Building a healthy community, is a community-wide initiative whose goal is to encourage Bensenville’s young people and families to achieve healthier lifestyles by promoting the activities and resources available within our own community. This Initiative takes a prevention-driven approach to health, supporting policies and environmental changes that promote healthy eating and active living in neighborhoods, schools and workplaces. Our goal is to give parents helpful information to foster environments that support healthy choices. More information may be found at www.bensenville.il.us.
